Lego bricks are plastic construction toys used for building houses, castles, space ships and imaginary figures. Similar toys such as Tinkertoys, Erector sets and Lincoln Logs compete against LEGO bricks in terms of price.

Every Lego element carries a number that identifies its shape, as well as a color code which specifies its material(s) and process for colouring it.

Parts

Lego piece 26047 are elements that can be used to construct models using bricks, plates and beams. Each element is assigned its own part number in Lego Group’s inventory system; using this number a Lego fan can search on websites like Brick Owl, Brickset and the official Pick A Brick and Replacement Parts sites for a piece.

Lego bricks feature small bumps called studs on top that act as connectors between other pieces.

Other terms used with Lego include greeble(s), which are small, nonfunctional parts added to a MOC to increase visual interest; half-stud offset is a building technique which allows builders to alter standard alignment of studs on plates; and jumper plates which have one stud in their center.

Minifigures

Lego minifigures are small human figures which symbolize characters or people from within the Lego universe, acting as its mascot and one of its most beloved toys.

Many figures feature non-cylindrical heads like Woody, Stinky Pete and Yoda. Though these unique figures cannot hold traditional accessories such as bags or swords, they still attach securely to their respective torso pieces.

Minifigures began featuring various extra details in their appearance during the late ’80s, such as eye patches, feminine makeup and sunglasses. Furthermore, these figures came equipped with hooks for their hands instead of standard stud arms for easier playtime.

From 1986 to 1999, Lego also introduced larger TECHNIC Figures and later the Bionicle line of animal characters that couldn’t easily be disassembled, similar to minifigures but featuring more articulation such as bendable elbows and knees firmly fixed together and complete with helmets.

Sets

No matter if you are an adult fanatic or simply trying to keep the kids busy on a rainy day, a LEGO set can provide hours of enjoyment and fun! From minifigures and brick accessories, to complete sets with everything in it. There’s sure to be one perfect for everyone out there!

Rare sets can also fetch significant value if they remain sealed; for instance, an original set of 10182 Cafe Corner from 2007 is estimated to be worth over $2000 in its sealed state. There may even be pieces which have never been released as part of any set or collection.

The Lego Group has taken steps towards finding more sustainable raw materials for their products, employing polyethene as a biodegradable material derived from sugar cane to begin using in their products – not as strong and durable as ABS but it represents progress nonetheless. They’re also working hard on cutting back their oil usage as this would benefit both their products as well as customers alike.

Instructions

Lego bricks are an enjoyable toy enjoyed by people of all ages. Their creative uses span from building towers and trains, to houses. You can build anything from basic bungalows to elaborate mansions; just determine your size and time spent building it! When building your Lego house, the first step should be laying its foundation; this involves creating a bottom row of bricks as a bottom pillar while marking locations for doors, walls, rooms etc in your design plan. Staggering joint joints between bricks helps ensure its stability as a foundation is laid.

Instructions that come with Lego sets are very easy to follow; all it takes is making sure that all parts are present before beginning construction to avoid frustration and disappointment. Also helpful when building is counting the studs between each brick to ensure you are doing it right.
